Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and precision
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Utilize CAD systems to track incident statuses and resource allocation
- Provide clear instructions to callers during crisis situations
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Proficient in typing (minimum 40 WPM)
- Basic computer literacy with MS Office applications
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-stress situations
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- No felony convictions
