Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Remotely monitor multiple radio channels during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate digital logs of all communications and actions
- Coordinate with other emergency services (EMS, Fire) during multi-agency responses
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
- Participate in continuous virtual training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Experience with multi-tasking in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US
