Responsibilities
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications during emergency incidents
- Multi-task handling 911 calls, police radio traffic, and administrative tasks simultaneously
- Process and prioritize incoming emergency calls using established protocols
- Coordinate with field units, fire departments, and medical services during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate digital logs and incident documentation
- Participate in continuous training for new technologies and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
