Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate resources between police units, fire departments, and EMS
- Maintain accurate documentation of all communications and incidents
- Operate radio equipment to dispatch appropriate emergency services
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Participate in continuous skills development and scenario-based training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer literacy and data entry proficiency
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Clear background check and drug screen
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
