Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and urgency
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical personnel using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Provide critical information to officers in the field during active incidents
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional emergencies
- Operate radio equipment and computer-aided dispatch systems
- Adhere to all department policies and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Clear speaking voice with strong diction and pronunciation
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
