Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police units, fire departments, and medical services with precision
- Maintain detailed incident logs and comply with NIMS protocols
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and 911 infrastructure
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Train on specialized software and communication technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and clean background check
- Ability to pass psychological and polygraph examinations
- Experience in customer service or high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish encouraged)
