Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls from the public and officers
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation
- Operate multi-channel radio equipment during high-stress situations
- Provide critical information to first responders and the public
- Participate in ongoing training programs for certification
- Collaborate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and polygraph examination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn complex systems
- Ability to remain calm during emergency situations
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- US citizenship or legal resident status
