Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers
- Maintain radio communications with field units
- Document incident details in RMS databases
- Coordinate with fire/EMS during multi-agency responses
- Operate 911 systems during high-pressure scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
- Clear criminal background check
- Pass typing assessment (35+ WPM)
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to pass polygraph examination
- Texas driver's license (or obtain within 30 days)
