Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment with precision
- Provide clear, concise instructions to officers and other emergency responders
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications, incidents, and officer activities
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents and natural disasters
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress, life-threatening situations
- Utilize mapping software to determine optimal unit deployment and resource allocation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Ability to pass rigorous background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Proficient in typing (minimum 40 WPM) and basic computer applications
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask and make critical decisions within seconds
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- No prior felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- Must be available for rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
