Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using state-of-the-art CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel using provided radio equipment
- Enter and maintain accurate incident data in computer systems
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and NCIC/FCIC databases
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival medical instructions
- Coordinate with multi-agency responders during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship and valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional multi-tasking abilities
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and medical evaluation
- No felony convictions or domestic violence restraining orders
