Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls with calm professionalism and prioritize emergency responses
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police units, fire, and EMS resources
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incident reports
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time tracking of units and incidents
- Provide critical information to first responders during critical incidents
- Remain composed during high-stress emergency situations
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners during crisis scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- U.S. citizenship and valid Tennessee driver's license
- No felony convictions
- Ability to pass written and psychological examinations
