Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with clear, concise radio communication
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor radio channels and surveillance systems for public safety threats
- Perform data entry and record maintenance in compliance with protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (verified by test)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status required
- No felony convictions; clean driving record preferred
