Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and radio communications equipment
- Input and retrieve critical information using CAD/NCIC systems
- Coordinate resources during emergency incidents and crisis situations
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide clear instructions to callers during medical or police emergencies
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 35+ words per minute (will be tested)
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with basic computer applications
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be 18+ years old and a US citizen
