Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units
- Operate CAD systems and radio communication equipment with precision
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation
- Provide critical instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Utilize NCIC databases for background checks and warrants
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid NC driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- US citizenship and clean criminal background
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass multi-panel background check and drug screen
- Strong emotional stability under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
