Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and professionalism
- Operate radio communication systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical responses
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports using CAD/RMS systems
- Provide critical information and instructions to callers during emergencies
- Collaborate with field units and other agencies during high-pressure situations
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance dispatching expertise
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Valid California Driver's License
- Proficiency with computer systems and multitasking abilities
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
