Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional calm and accuracy
- Operate radio communication systems for police, fire, and medical units
- Enter and maintain detailed incident data in CAD systems
- Provide critical life-saving instructions via phone during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism under pressure
- Complete state-mandated dispatcher certification training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Clear criminal background and drug-free history
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
