Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units during emergency situations
- Maintain detailed incident logs and accurate documentation
- Apply de-escalation techniques to manage high-stress caller scenarios
- Perform radio communications following FCC protocols
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Valid California Driver's License
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Strong multitasking ability under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency and tech aptitude
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English
