Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and EMS resources using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Provide critical information to first responders and public inquiries
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies during critical incidents
- Participate in continuous training for emergency protocols and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer proficiency with data entry skills (minimum 35 WPM)
- Excellent verbal/written communication in English and Spanish
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure emergency situations
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid Texas driver's license
