Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize incoming emergency and non-emergency calls via phone and radio.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel to incident locations using CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems.
- Monitor police scanner frequencies and maintain accurate logs of all unit activities and incidents.
- Provide critical information to responding officers, including location details, unit status, and call history.
- Communicate effectively with the public, other agencies, and emergency services during critical events.
- Maintain and update the status of all field units in the radio communication system.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, report generation, and answering general inquiries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Arizona Class D Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in high-pressure, emergency situations.
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency (30+ WPM).
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays, and nights as required.
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
