Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via phone, radio, and digital systems
- Dispatch police units, fire services, and medical responders with precise location and incident details
- Maintain accurate real-time logs of all communications and field units
- Utilize CAD systems to track incident status and resource allocation
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during multi-jurisdictional emergencies
- Operate radio equipment and maintain communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification (will be tested during hiring process)
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
