- Process and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems and radio communications
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation per department protocols
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and specialized emergency response equipment
- Provide critical information to officers and other public safety agencies
- Monitor surveillance feeds and coordinate responses during critical incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- U.S. citizenship and valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Ability to remain calm during high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in computer applications and data entry
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Must obtain PA Emergency Services Dispatcher certification within 12 months
