Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency responses
- Operate radio dispatch systems and CAD software
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and logs
- Provide crisis intervention to callers during emergencies
- Operate department-issued equipment (radios, computers, headsets)
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and clean background check
- Pass pre-employment screening (physical, polygraph, drug test)
- Ability to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
