Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via phone, radio, and digital systems
- Accurately document incident details using CAD software and databases
- Coordinate with police officers, firefighters, and EMS units during critical situations
- Maintain calm demeanor while guiding callers through emergency protocols
- Monitor multiple radio channels simultaneously during high-pressure scenarios
- Adhere to strict confidentiality policies and departmental procedures
- Participate in continuous training to maintain operational readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship and valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
- Proficient in typing (minimum 35 WPM) and computer literacy
- Ability to multitask and make critical decisions under stress
- Basic knowledge of Philadelphia geography preferred
- Experience in customer service or crisis management a plus
