Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency 911 calls from the public.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and EMS units to active incidents.
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to track unit status and locations.
- Maintain accurate, real-time logs and records of all communications.
- Communicate critical information to field officers and provide situation updates.
- Coordinate with inter-agency partners and external support services.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to type accurately at a minimum of 35 WPM.
- Strong ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under stress.
- Must successfully pass a background investigation, drug screen, and medical exam.
