Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency (911) and non-emergency calls efficiently and accurately.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services (EMS) units to incident locations.
- Monitor and operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio frequencies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed incident logs and records for all dispatched units.
- Coordinate with field units to provide real-time updates and tactical support.
- Verify and update address information in the police database.
- Provide general information and assistance to the public during business hours.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (25+ wpm).
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
