Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming emergency and non-emergency calls for service with high accuracy and urgency.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident locations based on critical information.
- Maintain accurate records in the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and radio logs.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance feeds and provide real-time updates to field units.
- Communicate effectively with officers in the field, citizens, and other emergency service agencies.
- Maintain composure and make critical decisions under high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Driverβs License with a safe driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, polygraph, and medical exam.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to multitask and handle high-stress environments.
