Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location details
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and logs
- Provide critical information to field personnel during active situations
- Operate multiple communication channels (radio, phone, digital)
- Adhere to NIMS and departmental protocols
- Perform data entry and record management tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid Texas driver's license
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Clear diction and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress emergency situations
- Basic computer proficiency and multitasking capability
- Must be 18+ years old at time of hire
