Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units efficiently during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major events
- Monitor radio communications and maintain situational awareness
- Adhere to all federal, state, and departmental protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency (typing test required)
- Must complete 6-month paid academy training
- Valid Florida driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
