Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate records and logs of all communications
- Coordinate resources between multiple agencies during emergencies
- Remain calm and professional under high-pressure situations
- Complete state-mandated certification training program
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize information effectively
- U.S. citizenship and valid Arizona driver's license
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and medical evaluation
