What You Will Do:
- Receive and prioritize emergency (911) and non-emergency calls with the highest level of accuracy and composure.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel to incident scenes via radio and computer-aided dispatch systems.
- Monitor and maintain continuous communication with field units, providing real-time updates and support.
- Enter detailed incident reports and logs into the CAD system to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Coordinate and communicate with other law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
- Provide critical information and assistance to the public during non-emergency inquiries.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid California Class C Driverβs License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, medical exam, and psychological evaluation.
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 words per minute).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and multi-tasking effectively.

Responsibilities

- Dispatch appropriate law enforcement, fire, and medical resources to incident scenes.
- Monitor and maintain two-way radio communications with field units.
- Enter and update incident reports and records in the CAD system.
- Coordinate with other agencies, such as the Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol.
- Provide information and assistance to the public during non-emergency inquiries.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to departmental policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and medical exam.
