Responsibilities
- Answer 911 and non-emergency calls with professionalism and compassion
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Accurately document call information using CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Provide critical instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and medical teams during high-pressure scenarios
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency (typing test required: 40+ WPM)
- Valid Ohio driver's license (within 30 days of hire)
- Must be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status required
