Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls from the public and law enforcement agencies
- Dispatch appropriate police units to emergency scenes using radio and computer systems
- Maintain accurate logs of all calls, actions, and incidents
- Provide critical information to officers in the field and coordinate resources
- Operate multiple communication systems simultaneously during high-pressure situations
- Collaborate with other emergency services (fire, EMS) for coordinated responses
- Complete all required training modules to achieve dispatcher certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to multitask in high-stress emergency environments
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
