Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls via phone, radio, and digital systems
- Dispatch police units using CAD software with precision and urgency
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation
- Coordinate with other agencies (EMS, Fire) during multi-agency responses
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Operate communication equipment per department protocols
- Participate in continuous training for certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Clear, articulate communication skills (written/spoken)
- Typing proficiency (minimum 40 WPM)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer literacy (Windows OS, CAD systems)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
