Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate real-time status tracking of all field units
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Document all call details and radio communications precisely
- Operate radio systems, telephones, and specialized emergency equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Valid Nevada driver's license at time of appointment
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified through testing)
- Strong multitasking abilities under high-pressure situations
- Clear communication skills with diverse populations
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Must be available to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
