Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incidents with precision and speed.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all incoming and outgoing communications.
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment efficiently.
- Provide critical information to officers in the field to ensure their safety and the public's.
- Escalate complex situations to supervisors when necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in typing and computer usage.
- Must pass a thorough background investigation and drug screen.
