Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls for service accurately and efficiently.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incidents using two-way radio and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Maintain precise records of incident reports, dispatch logs, and field unit status.
- Monitor city surveillance systems and CCTV feeds to assist field personnel.
- Provide information to the public regarding police services, precinct locations, and general inquiries.
- Collaborate with officers and other emergency services personnel to ensure coordinated responses.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driverβs license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
