Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to dispatch police units and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents (fires, medical emergencies)
- Provide clear instructions to callers during medical emergencies and crisis situations
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities per department protocols
- Utilize radio systems to communicate effectively with field personnel
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification and procedural knowledge
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making abilities
- Experience handling high-stress customer service situations
- Proficient with computer systems and multitasking capabilities
- Must be 21 years of age or older
