Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems while maintaining clear communication protocols
- Monitor multiple radio channels and security systems simultaneously
- Enter and maintain accurate incident data in law enforcement databases
- Provide critical information to officers in the field during emergencies
- Coordinate with other emergency services (fire, EMS) during multi-agency incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in high-stress environments or customer service preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-aided dispatch systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
