Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical responses
- Maintain accurate incident logs and database entries
- Provide critical information to field units during emergencies
- Utilize CAD systems for efficient resource deployment
- Remain calm and composed during high-stress situations
- Adhere to all departmental policies and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (typing test required)
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- No felony convictions
