Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver mail along assigned routes using postal vehicles or walking
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail for timely distribution
- Collect outgoing mail and postage from residential and commercial customers
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report mail irregularities
- Operate postal equipment and vehicles following safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Assist with special mail projects during peak seasons
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and work in varied weather conditions
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for mail tracking systems
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (6+ hours daily)
