Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along designated routes
- Sort and organize mail according to delivery sequences and postal regulations
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Provide professional customer service during interactions with the public
- Report delivery issues, safety hazards, and unusual circumstances promptly
- Maintain physical fitness to handle walking, lifting, and carrying requirements
- Adhere to all USPS policies, procedures, and security protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly and walk up to 7 miles daily
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and tracking systems
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
