Responsibilities
- Sort, prepare, and deliver mail/packages to residential and commercial addresses across designated Seattle routes
- Maintain accurate delivery records and scan tracking information using USPS technology
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic regulations and USPS safety protocols
- Manage customer interactions professionally, including handling inquiries and resolving delivery issues
- Perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles and equipment
- Collaborate with sorting facility staff to ensure timely mail processing
- Adapt to route changes and weather conditions while maintaining delivery standards
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly and push/pull mail carts weighing up to 300 lbs
- Strong time management skills with ability to work independently and meet strict delivery deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior delivery experience preferred
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by federal regulations
- Ability to walk 5-8 hours daily in varied Seattle weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for using USPS scanning systems
