Responsibilities
- Sort, process, and distribute mail according to USPS standards and delivery routes
- Operate mail processing machinery including scanners, sorters, and conveyors
- Provide exceptional customer service at retail counters and service windows
- Maintain accurate records of mail volume, deliveries, and customer interactions
- Prepare and organize parcels, letters, and packages for timely dispatch
- Adhere to all safety protocols and security procedures for mail handling
- Assist in inventory management of postal supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn USPS systems
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
- Pass background check and drug screening
