Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail using automated and manual equipment to ensure timely delivery.
- Deliver Packages: Safely and accurately deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along assigned routes.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers to resolve inquiries, handle packages with care, and maintain a positive community presence.
- Equipment Operation: Operate handheld scanners, sorting machines, and delivery vehicles in compliance with safety regulations.
- Route Management: Maintain accurate records of mail delivery and manage time effectively to meet daily quotas.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy packages (up to 70 lbs) and walking/driving long distances in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; vision and hearing must be sufficient to perform the job.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and a drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
