Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee public health programs addressing chronic disease prevention and health disparities
- Coordinate emergency response initiatives for natural disasters and public health crises
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations and resource allocation
- Manage inter-agency partnerships with federal (CDC, FEMA), state, and local health departments
- Supervise cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with public health regulations
- Lead community outreach initiatives to improve health literacy and access to services
- Prepare federal grant proposals and manage program budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in government or nonprofit health administration
- Knowledge of federal public health regulations (HIPAA, CDC guidelines)
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in health information systems
- Experience managing budgets over $500,000
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours during emergency response situations
