Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response efforts with city/state/federal partners
- Lead public communication during health emergencies ensuring accurate information dissemination
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for Minneapolis communities
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation during crises
- Train staff and community partners on emergency response procedures
- Analyze post-event data to improve future response strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation required
- Proven track record coordinating multi-agency disaster response
- Expertise in risk assessment and emergency planning frameworks
- Exceptional crisis communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to obtain federal security clearance (US citizenship required)
