Responsibilities
- Develop and execute county-wide emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency task forces including hospitals, EMS, and community organizations
- Oversee data-driven resource allocation during emergency situations
- Lead public communication strategies to ensure transparent crisis information dissemination
- Conduct post-incident analysis and implement continuous improvement measures
- Manage federal/state grant compliance for emergency response programs
- Train county staff in emergency response procedures and protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- PHR or CEM certification preferred
- Proven expertise in incident command systems (ICS)
- Strong knowledge of FEMA and CDC emergency frameworks
- Exceptional crisis communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive county operations
