Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency responses to natural disasters and disease outbreaks
- Lead community education campaigns on emergency preparedness
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats
- Manage emergency supply chain and resource allocation systems
- Train public health staff and first responders in crisis management
- Prepare detailed incident reports and policy recommendations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of public health or emergency response experience
- Incident Command System (ICS) certification required
- Strong knowledge of FEMA and CDC protocols
- Exceptional crisis communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergency activations
- Valid Virginia driver's license
