Responsibilities
- Lead emergency response operations for public health incidents (disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Coordinate with local hospitals, EMS, and community organizations during crisis situations
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform real-time response strategies
- Train public health staff and community volunteers on emergency protocols
- Manage grant-funded emergency response projects and reporting requirements
- Serve as primary liaison between state agencies and local health departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or willing to obtain within 30 days
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in public health surveillance systems
- Experience managing cross-functional teams during emergency situations
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to work irregular hours and deploy within 2 hours during emergencies
