Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies for vaccination programs and health education
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and recommend intervention strategies
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations
- Manage resource allocation and logistics for emergency response operations
- Prepare detailed reports for state leadership and federal partners
- Train public health staff on emergency procedures and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS) or equivalent
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, or SPSS)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and public health regulations
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work under pressure
- Valid Indiana driver's license and willingness to travel statewide
